Tourist and Immigration Visas – Mexico
As of May 1st 2010 FMT’s are discontinued and FM3’s will no longer be issued by Consulates in the US or Canada. Everyone will enter on an FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) with a maximum stay of 180 days. Here’s an explanation of the new visas with a video FMM Visa Explanation. Changing your FMM to FM2/3 will be similar to the old procedure but renewal applications will be online. Your new FM3/2 will also be a card similar to a credit card rather than a booklet.
