I stole that line from Marilyn (Trailrunner) but today I get my turn …
I left Jocotepec for Melaque on Monday last week and came back Saturday. The only bill I had received before I left was my cable bill and I left money for a friend to pay it. When I got back it was late Saturday and I had both electric and Telmex bills waiting. That meant I needed to wait for today (Monday) to pay those bills.
In I go to Banamex where I usually pay bills and they say I’m three days late … and three days ago was Friday (I guess they count weekends). That means that bills are late if you don’t pay within 2-4 days of receiving them which does not leave much room for error.
I went across the street to CFE to pay just as they were closing at an ungodly early hour so will have to go back tomorrow. I also will have to drive to Ajijic to pay my Telmex bill. Luckly I need to pick up my computer in Ajijic so won’t be too bad.
Another feature of Mexican Time it seems

It turns out that Bodega had no problem with the bills being a few days late like Banamex did. Also the CFE office must have had 100 people waiting in line. It’s pay at Bodega (Walmart) for me from now on.

Cada cinco minutos

Well, at least you caught it all before they started turning things off. . .
You can pay TelMex here in Joco and I usually pay CFE at La Bodega. Try to avoid the CFE office at all costs.
Actually, I think you can pay TelMex at the Bodega too.
I was assuming if the bank said I’m late … anyone else would
