Casa de Ignacio Allende is the birthplace of Ignacio Allende, one of Mexico's great Independence heroes, and it now houses a historical museum. The
"Museo Histórico de San Miguel de Allende" has a collection of weapons, documents and other objects that belonged to this independence war hero. Located at 1 Cuna de Allende Street, next to the Parroquia de San Miguel
on the main plaza.
I was a bit
disappointed that this place only covered Colonial history but
it was the house of Senor Allende. The one set of the girl
grinding corn was the extent of average life. The general
store and pharmacy displays were pretty cool. The
people there told me there was no other museum and I was walking
around by myself so couldn't ask friends. It's Ok but just
very limited. There was a very extensive history video
running in a few of the rooms |
