You don't see much mention of this little beach but in my opinion it's the prettiest along the Costalegre. The first picture reminds me of Hawaii. The beach is dark gravel so sand is not suspended in the clear waters. Because of the clear water it might be good for snorkeling on the north end. The south end looks a little rough. There is a palapa restaurant at the north end next to the local fishing co-op. Don't be put off by the guard shack by the highway - it's there for a small property owned by the El Careyes Resort.
Beyond the beach a dirt road winds around the lagoon almost making it to the next beach south. Even though the pictures are attractive the lagoon water is very shallow and stagnant.
El Careyes resort and a few others are just a kilometer or two up the road and none of them are open to the wandering public - they are all gated.
A few kilometers south is the old Club Med in the bottom picture. It's closed but they seem to be working on it.
